Our curriculum focus is Outcomes Based Education across all key learning areas. The school will use a variety of strategies to assist in this. The Queensland school curriculum is designed to assist students to become lifelong learners. The overall learning outcomes of the curriculum contain elements common to all key learning areas.

The Outcomes based approach provides a framework for planning learning experiences and assessment tasks through which students have opportunities to demonstrate what they know and can do in each key learning area. The levels indicate progressions of increasing sophistication and complexity in learning outcomes. All students are provided with opportunities to demonstrate the core learning outcomes during the compulsory years of schooling.

Language Other Than English (Japanese) is offered to children in years 6-7. The instrumental music program includes the school band and offers tuition in strings, woodwind and brass.

There is a whole school literacy focus with the implementation of a 2 hour literacy block – focusing on reading and writing.

The school is implementing a reporting format based on twice yearly report cards using an A – E scale.
